Police arrested 35-year-old Chandra Kumar Kandangwa of Atharai on October 18 on the charge of murdering his 25-year-old wife, Nenusa Khapung, of Atharai Rural Municipality-7. The victim's side lodged a complaint on October 18, accusing the Chandra Kumar of strangling the victim during a domestic dispute on October 17.

DSP Gautam Thapa said that the accused was arrested for investigation after he came to the district hospital for a postmortem of his wife. The postmortem of the body was done at the District Hospital.
