Police arrested 32-year-old Sharad Reule of Sharda Municipality-1, Shantinagar on October 19 on the charge of raping a 27-year-old woman with a disability.

According to Inspector Laxman Oli, the victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on October 20, alleging that the accused had raped the woman on October 18.

The health examination of the victim was conducted at the Health Service Office, Salyan on October 19, said the office chief Dasharath Shrestha. 

The father of the victim told INSEC representative that she was raped three years ago. 

He said, “The son who was born from rape before is now two and a half years old. The rapist has not been identified
