2020-10-19

Lalitpur Metropolitan Police Office rescued an abducted girl in Lalitpur in an operation lasting for three and a half hours on Monday night, October 19. An eight-year-old girl was abducted from Imadol on Monday evening. Police received information that the girl had been abducted at 8:00 pm.

Three persons allegedly involved in the abduction were arrested after rescuing the girl at 10:30 pm. Alleged abductors were identified as 30-year-old  Raju Karki of Sarlahi, Krishna Tolang and his wife  Sita Pariyar of Dharapani of Dhanusha.

The abductors kept the girl in their room at Harisiddhi. The abductors had a minor dispute after the house owner started questioning about the abducted child. After the brawl, the girl ran out and the abductors were also arrested after the police arrived at the same time.

Although the abductors knew the girl's mother, the girl's mother told the police that she did not know them (abductors). They kidnapped the girl on a bicycle citing her mother would come late for a lunch. After the abductors called the girl's mother for ransom then she immediately informed the police.

A team under the command of DSP Mitrabandhu Sharma of Satdobato Circle arrested them. The house owner was also arrested by the police but was released after her involvement was not seen. SSP Rai said that further investigation was underway.
