A complaint was logded at the District Police Office on October 18 alleging that 25-year-old Sunil Yadav of Basbariya Rural Municipality-5 was injured after being beaten by DSP Uddhab Singh Bhat of the Area Police Office. However, the District Police Office refused to register the complaint according to the 46-year-old Bhagirath Roy, father of the victim 46, father of the victim.
There was a discussion in the Police office on the regular disputes in the village in the presence of representatives of both the parties, senior members of the society and ward president of Baswariya Rural Municipality-4 Kamal Sah, president of ward no 5 Saroj Yadav ASI Dipendra Kumar Mal of Area Police Office, Hirapur.
According to Saroj Yadav, after the decision was signed by both the parties, DSP Uddhab Singh Bhat of Area Police Office Barhathawa came and took Sunil Kumar Yadav and others inside the police office and beat him with kicks, boots, sticks and plastic pipes.
According to the victim, his right hand was broken and he was beaten on both legs and the skin on the right side of the victim's hand and left and right side of his leg has been torn. According to the victim's father, he was referred to Janakpur for further treatment on October 21 after he was treated at the community hospital in Barhathwa. Meanwhile DSP Bhat denied all the charges .
