Police arrested 25-year-old Pankaj Yadav of Siddharthnagar Municipality-4 from his house on October 22 on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl after the parents of the victim then lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Rupandehi. 

According to the victim, the accused raped the girl on October 18 and threatened to kill her family if she spoke about the incident. The incident came to light on October 22 after the victim told her mother that she was scared and had genital pain. The girl was examined at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa on October 22. As per the police, the action was taken against the accused.
