Ward chairpersons and Deputy Mayor of Malangawa Municipality in Sarlahi district padlocked the municipality office. A team led by Deputy Mayor Shanti Sabnam Mikrani with some ward chairpersons padlocked the municipality office accusing the Mayor and the Chief Administrative Officer of misusing the budget arbitrarily.
Deputy-Mayor Mikrani said they padlocked the office demanding to make public of the list of employees that were hired in contract, their name sheet and salary payment sheet. Ward No. 3 chairman Ram Kailash Sah warned that if their legitimate demands are not fulfilled on time, they will start agitation in a phased manner.
