Scientific Socialist Communist Party staged a rally at Chaubiskothi in Bharatpur on November 10 against the heinous murder, violence and rape against women and Dalits across the country. Symbolically, the demonstration was carried out in a white T-shirt with blood on it, fingers cut off, and bandages on the forehead and fingers as a sign of pressure to hold the government responsible for the bloodshed caused by various forms of violence against women and Dalits.
The killings of Dalits and women have increased in Madhes and as the government is quiet about the incidents, they called on all people to rise up against the heinous crimes against women and Dalits. The protesters chanted slogans such as 'End caste system, beware of rape, and government should be vigilant to prevent rape'. They said agitation would intensify if the government did not address the demands of ending caste system.
