The mother of a 17-year-old girl lodged a complaint against 28-year-old Ashish Mirdaha of Karjanha Municipality-1 at the Area Police Office, Mirchaiya on November 9, stating that Mirdaya raped her daughter.

The mother of the victim told that the accused had raped the girl several times in June, but the girl did not tell anyone about the incident. They knew about the incident only after the victim was found five months pregnant.

DSP Santulal Prasad Jaiswar of the Area Police Office Mirchaiya said that the accused Mirdaha was already in prison since August 1 on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl on July 26. The newly registered complaint will undergo with the accused.
