Locals have been agitated citing  alteration on the blacktop road connecting Dhungesanghu of Taplejung through Sukepokhari in Atharai village municipality of Tehrathum. Residents of Bhadaure-Hwaku-Chokpur-Dhungesanghu handed over a memorandum to Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Basant Kumar Nembang demanding the road construction to be started from the point at which Prime Minister Oli had inaugurated the foundation.

According to the memorandum, PM Oli, laid the foundation stone of the 65-kilometer Dhungesanghu road connecting Sukepokhari-Chhatedhunga-Bhadaure-Hwaku-Chokpur-Ramite on the Mid-Hills Highway and addressed about the construction of the road. They have demanded that the construction work of the road be expedited as per the address given by the Prime Minister and also urged the Road Division Office to stop the work of Detailed Project Report (DPR) being prepared to the contrary.
