Police arrested 26-year-old Umesh Thakur of Bindabasini Rural Municipality-4, Parsa, on the charge of raping a 6-year-old child. According to Inspector Kushal Bartaula of the Crime Investigation Branch of the District Police Office, Parsa, the victim's family accused Thakur of inserting a digit into the child’s vagina on November 18.

Inspector Bartaula said that further investigation has started by registering a case against the accused. The health checkup of the victim has conducted, but police have received no report. Police said the health condition of the child is normal.
