On the occasion of International Human Rights Day, Human Rights and Peace Society Rupendehi staged a peaceful demonstration in Butwal on December 10 demanding that Nepal should sign the Convention on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to spread peace around the world.

This year marks International Human Rights Day as a day to put pressure on the world's nuclear rivals. In the program held in Butwal, human rights activists demonstrated in the streets with placards with messages to Stop the War, Promote Peace, No Nuclear Weapons Needed and more.
