The Galchi-Trishuli-Malung-Rasuwagadhi Road Struggle Committee has blocked the Mailung-Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road in Rasuwa since December 12 alleging the local administration of setting very low compensation amount for the land being acquired by the government to construct the road.
The committee has stated that the road will remain closed until their demands are met. In 2016, it was decided that a compensation of Rs 6,00,000 per aana would be provided but the local administration has now decided to set the amount to Rs 3,80,000.
