Professors affiliated to Nepal Communist Party of the  Agriculture and Forest Sciences University  has padlocked the University  demanding the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor. They have accused that the government have appointed d Professor Dr. Punyaprasad Regmi as a Dean  in collaboration with the Nepali Congress.

Vice Chancellor Regmi is close to NCP Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The professors affiliated to former CPN-UML faction of NCP have been demanding to cancel the reappointment of Dr. Regmi as  VC. They have accused the selection committee has appointed the disputed person by ignoring the deserving candidates.
