The victim’s side lodged a complaint against 30-year-old Gobardan Gharti Chhetri of Lungri Rural Municipality-3, Rolpa, at the Area Police Office, Sulichaur, on December 20, alleging that the accused had raped a 29-year-old woman.

According to DSP Naresh Raj Subedi of the District Police Office, the victim was raped by the accused on May 29 and is seven months pregnant. He said the accused was out of the district and was being searched.

Health checkup of the victim was conducted at the District Hospital, Reugha.
