53-year-old Jeevan Nepali of Bara Nijgadh Municipality-2 was arrested by the Chhankavre District Police Office on December 28 on the charge of murdering his 43-year-old wife Sita Nepali.  Her body was found near the river at Hattidunga in Bethanchowk Rural Municipality -1 of Kavre on December 24 in a decomposed state.

According to the police, Jeevan and Sita used to work as house builders in the Bethanchowk area in Panauti and had frequent disputes regarding financial matters. Jeevan confessed to the police that he had beaten his wife to death.
