Locals padlocked the ward office of Kamalamai Municipality-2 Bhadrakali in Sindhuli over the disproportionate distribution of the budget. They accused ward chairman Nawaraj Thing of arbitrarily allocating the budget of Rs 2.5 million of the municipality to only one out of the nine wards in the municipality.
The budget allocated by the state government and the city is expected to be used for the development of roads, irrigation, drinking water, monasteries and other facilities in the ward. Meanwhile, Ward Chairman Thing said that the issue of budget distribution will be discussed.
