Police arrested 23-year-old Suresh Tamang of Chautara Sangachok Gadhi Municipality-14, Sindhupalchowk, on December 31, on the charge of raping a 14-year-old. The victim’s side had lodged a complaint against the accused at  District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, on December 20, alleging that Tamang had raped the victim on December 18, by taking her to his house.

According to the DSP Saokota health checkup of the victim was conducted at Chutara Hospital, on December 20.
