Birendranagar, the capital of Karnali Province, has been tensed on Saturday , after 23-year-old Tara Kumari Ale of Birendranagar Municipality-11, Surkhet, died in a traffic accident. On Friday, Ale died in the accident when the Tripper bearing plate 001 KA 0099 hit a motorcycle bearing number plate Bhe 7 Pa 5206 at Bheriganga Municipality-12, Surkhet.
After the accident, the locals and relatives of the deceased blocked the Birendranagar- Jumla road section in Mangalgadhi chowk.
A clash also took place after a mob pelted stones to the police. The police fired 5 rounds of tear gas and charged the batons against the demonstrators to open the road. Chief of the District Police Office, Surkhet, SP Rajendra Bhatta said that they arrested 6 demonstrators after the clash.
