Speaking at a virtual press conference organized to provide information about the latest developments in the university, Vice-Chancellor of Midwestern University, Professor Dr Nanda Bahadur Singh said that the demands of the students could not be met and warned to expel them.

VC Singh has accused the students of inciting unnecessary harassment at the instigation of some campus heads and professors. He also threatened to transfer some of the professors to Mugu and Rukum and take action against the campus head.
