Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy on the charge of raping 2-year-old child in Kandaghari of Kathmandu on Monday. The victim is staying with her family in Kandaghari of Kageshwori Manohara Municipality.
DSP Daksha Basnet of Metropolitan Police Circle, Baneshwor said that the accused was kept in a child-friendly cell for five days following court order to extend the boy's remand. According to the Nepal Children’s Act-2075, children involved in crime cannot kept in police custody after being taken under control.
