51-year-old Bharat Bahadur Bohara, Chairperson of Ward No. 10 of Manthali Municipality in Dolakha was arrested on January 23 on the charge of raping a 33-year-old woman.
The victim had lodged a complaint on January 18 against the accused Bohora at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi, Bhaktapur stating that she was raped by him on January 15. Based on the complaint, the district court had issued an arrest warrant against Ward Chairman Bohara. District Police Office Ramechhap arrested Bohara on the basis of Thimi Police's request to arrest him.
