The Nepal Foreign Employment Businessmen's Association (NFEBA) staged a sit-in presenting their 17-point demands and organized a corner meeting at the main gate of the Department of Foreign Employment, Buddhanagar on January 24. They alleged the Director-General of the Department Kumar Raj Dahal of not being serious in solving the problem of manpower entrepreneurs and of trying to create terror in the name of monitoring.
The major demands included an increase in service charges for sending workers abroad, resuming the foreign employment business in the worst affected areas that are affected for the past 10 months due to the pandemic, ending the impractical problems in the foreign employment information system and ending the practice of sending domestic workers abroad and obtaining separate licenses to send workers to Japan under JIT.
