Bishal Sharma a traffic police personnel working in Rupandehi has been arrested on the charge of being involved in gang-rape of a girl on November 8.

SP Prabin Pokhrel said along with Sharma, Guru Charan Chaudhary involved in the incident has also been arrested while two others are absconding.

Both the arrested are from Kapilvastu's Banganga while the absconding are two Indian nationals. The victim reported to the police that Sharma and the others raped her and took nude pictures of her sister on November 8 at Kanchan Rural Municipality-5 of  Rupandehi.

Although the accused denied his involvement in the incident, Pokhrel claimed that he may have been involved in the incident.

Although the incident took place about three months ago, the accused was arrested after the victim's family lodged a complaint on January 21, said Kamal Pariyar, Inspector at the Area Police Office, Saljandi.
