Police have arrested 39-year-old Indian national Pravas Dev of Farsibgunj, India, on the charge of sexually abusing a 17-year-old girl. The victim alleged that the accused had sexually assaulted her when she was working as a domestic worker in the house of the accused in Farbijgunj, India.

Last Thursday, Dev came to Biratnagar to take back the victim . Dipak Thapa, Head Inspector of Area Police Office, Rani said that the accused tried to take the girl to India by alluring her to give Rs 2 lakhs for her mother’s treatment. The accused was arrested from Biratnagar-16 while he was on his way to India. Police and an organization named Sano Hath arrested Dev, who lured the girl with financial support and was trafficking the girl to India for sexual exploitation.
