Students in Sarlahi stage sit-in at Barhathwa municipal office demanding quality education

Students of Chakra Janata Sahid Ganga Secondary School staged a sit-in at the Barathahawa Municipal Office on January 31 alleging police of ignoring their problems under the direction of Devananda Mahato, chief of the municipality, Khim Bahadur Bhujel, chief administrative officer and Ram Bahadur Ray Yadav, principal of the school.
The students have submitted 9-point demand including regular classes and construction of physical infrastructure. They complained that the school administration and the municipality ignored their demands even after submitting the memorandum. The students had vandalized the municipal office on January 29.
