Hundreds of residents of Madhyapur Thimi  under the leadership of mayor and coordinator of the Kamalpokhari Conservation Committee Madhyapur Municipality-8 Bodestaged a sit-in at the appellate court in Patan on February 9 against the verdict of the Bhaktapur District Court. They staged the demonstration with placards  demanding to save the historic Kamal Pokhari in Bode from encroachment by land mafia.
