The incidents of heinous crimes related to rape are increasing every year. In the last five years, 11,000 cases of rape have been registered. The most frightening fact is that 5,000 of the victims are girls. It is after the Nirmala Pant case that organized social outrage was expressed against rape. However, her culprit has not been found so far and the horrific series of rapes has not been stopped.

Instead, 3,347 girls have been raped in the country, from Nirmala Pant of Kanchanpur in July 2018 to Bhagarathi in Baitadi in February 2020. Seventeen victims have been killed to cover up the crime. In these two and a half years, only 3,300 rape victims are girls.
