Civil society, human rights activists and inter-party women's network of Dang staged a rally in Tulsipur Chowk in Ghorahi demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa blaming him for the failure to create a safe environment for women. Participants in the rally wore black outfits to protest the government. They carried placards with slogans such as 'Stop violence against women' and 'Let's unite against violence against women'.

After the demonstration rally, they handed over a memorandum to the government through Dang Chief District Officer Jayanarayan Acharya on February 14 demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa (Badal) accusing him of failing to create a safe environment for women.
