The office of the Vice-Chancellor of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan has been padlocked. The Medical and Dental Teachers' Welfare Society has locked the office of Vice-Chancellor Doctor Gyanendra Giri today accusing them of ignoring their demands several times. 

They demanded that the promotion process, which has been stalled for the past two years, should be expedited, the risk allowance provided by the Government of Nepal should be paid, garbage should be properly managed, irregularities on the internet and those involved in power theft should be punished.
