A protest rally was staged in Hetauda demanding severe punishment for the killer of Bhagirathi Bhatt of Baitadi. The protest was organized by the Mechi Mahakali Buhari United Voice Makwanpur branch.

The women and students participating in the rally chanted slogans such as "Make Bhagirathi's killer public, hang the rapist, stop violence against women". The program was attended by Maiti Nepal, Nari Samrakshan Kendra, Satyam Xavier's Mabi, Bhutan Devi High School, Siddhartha Mabi, Baljagriti English Boarding School, Janajyoti Mabi and other organizations.
