The victim's family on February 17 lodged a complaint against 35-year-old Teju Paswan of Lahan Municipality-10 at the Area Police Office, Lahan accusing him of attempted to rape a 28-year-old woman.

The victim was taken to Ram Kumar Umaprasad Hospital in Lahan on February 17. According to DSP Shaligram Sharma Poudel of the District Police Office, Siraha, the search for the absconding accused is underway.
