Police have arrested 52-year-old Tenje Sherpa of Chhathar Rural Municipality-1, Terhathum, on February 20, on the charge of murdering his 60-year-old wife Tshering Doma Lama, on February 17. Locals informed the police after the accused killed his wife over a domestic dispute. DSP Gautam Thapa of the District Police Office, Jhapa, said they have arrested the absconded accused from a hotel in Mechinagar-6, Jhapa.

According to DSP Thapa, the postmortem of the deceased body was conducted at the District Hospital, Dhankuta on February 18, and handed it to the victim's maternal side.
