Student unions affiliated with various political parties under the leadership of the United Students' Organization, staged a protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products in front of the Nepal Oil Corporation on March 3. The corporation had increased the price of petroleum products; Petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices by Rs 2 per litre with effect from midnight on March 1st.
According to the new price, petrol will cost Rs. 116, diesel and kerosene will cost Rs. 99. Similarly, the selling price of aviation fuel for domestic flights has been increased by Rs 5 per litre to Rs 72.
