Relatives of a 19-year-old pregnant woman of Dodhara Chandani Municipality, Ward No. 5 of Kanchanpur staged a sit-in at the gate of Mahakali Hospital after she died while undergoing surgery. The body of the deceased is at Mahakali Hospital since March 11.
They alleged the doctor of negligence during her surgery and have demanded custody and compensation for raising the newborn child. According to the hospital, the pregnant woman died due to high blood pressure and epilepsy, which affected her liver and kidneys.
