Eight ward chairpersons of including the majority of working committee members of Kalyanpur municipality padlocked the municipality office demanding to investigate irregularities in the municipality. The ward chairpersons elected from the Janata Samajwadi Party and the Nepal communist party have padlocked the municipality office.  Rajendra Shah, chairman of ward no.  8 said that they have padlocked the municipality office alleging that the municipality had not distributed social security allowances from the past nine months.
