The "Rastriya Dalit Mukti Jagaran" Campaign staged a  state-level rally and demonstration in Nepalgunj of Lumbini Province on April 11 demanding to establish the rights of the Dalit community. Protestors demanded participatory representation of the Dalit community in every organ and body of the state, clear representation of the Dalits at the policy-making level and ensuring the profession of this community.

The demonstration was organized to raise awareness against caste discrimination, untouchability and oppression of dalits and to put pressure on the government. The demonstration was attended by a large number of people from Lumbini, Karnali and Far Western Provinces.
