Police arrested 40-year-old Padma Bahadur BK of Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-8 Achham, Barla on April 12 on the charge of raping a 32-year-old pregnant woman. The accused is also a member of the Netra Bikram Chand led the Communist Party of Nepal. The victim was raped in Jwanepani on April 11 while returning home from Rakhum in the Dailekh district, informed DSP Dulsiram Aryal of District Police Office Achham.

The victim underwent a medical examination at Achham district hospital in Mangalsen on April 13.
