Police have arrested 25-year-old Lokendra Saud of Lekam rural municipality-2, Darchula, on April 13, on the charge of attempt-to-rape on a 46-year-old woman.

According to the DSP Heramb Sharma, the victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Humla, on April 12, alleging that the accused had tried to rape her on April 11, while she was in the jungle for collecting fodder for cattle.

The victim also alleged that the accused hit her head with the stone after she shouted. Police had registered a case of rape against the accused on April 15. Health check-up of the accused was conducted at Sarkegad health post on April 12.
