"Mukta Kamalari Bikas Manch" Kailali picketed Joshipur rural municipality and handed over a 10-point memorandum with a demand to solve the problems of former Kamalaris who were victims of bonded labour. The protest program was attended by free Kamalaris and their family members from different wards of the rural municipality.
Their demands include the budget allocation for the training to make the former Kamalaris self-reliant, the state's commitment to providing education, health and other services, rehabilitation including land, arrangement of technical education and public service preparation classes, search for missing Kamalari, and justice to the slain Kamalari.
