Bagmati, Makawanpur, Makawanpurgadhi
Considering the historical and archaeological significance of Makwanpurgadhi (fort), heritage lovers staged a symbolic protest on April 18, on the occasion of World Heritage Day, to draw the attention of concerned bodies to its protection and promotion. The fort has become dilapidated due to its long-neglected condition.
They also expressed concern that the Sen dynasty's palaces were being reduced to rubble due to lack of security. They also handed over a memorandum to the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers of Bagmati.
