A clash broke out between Buddhiman Shrestha, Ward Chairperson of Bhimad-8 Municipality, and Chiranjeevi Khanal of the same ward, a service recipient of the same municipality on April 22. 

Khanal, who reached to get the nominee letter, accused the Ward Chairperson Shrestha of manhandling him. However, Ward Chairperson Shrestha said he acted for self-defense when Khanal manhandled and verbally abused him. 

It is said that the dispute arose between Khanal and Shrestha when Khanal claimed a land where Savitri Damai, a single woman living with a disability of the same ward, has lived there for 20 years. The woman lodged a complaint at Ward Office after Khanal halted the construction work of her house.
