The office of Balefi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchowk has been padlocked under the leadership of the chairperson of ward 2 of the rural municipality on April 28 after the formation of two consumer committees for the construction of the ward office building. The protestors demanded the consumer committee formed by them should be allowed to work.

According to the ward chairperson, the rural municipality has interfered in the formation of the committee as per the plan of the ward. He said that there was no prejudice in the process of formation of the committee as it was formed by gathering all parties.
