A meeting of the District Covid 19 Crisis Management Center on May 1 decided to impose a prohibitory order on four local levels and national highways in the Makwanpur district from midnight of May 2 till midnight of May 14 with the increasing number of corona infections. According to the administration, the order was issued for the Hetauda sub-metropolis, Manahari, Thahanagar, and Bhimphedi villages and in the right-left 500-meter area of the national highway.
The order was imposed in certain areas of national highways due to its connection with the capital Kathmandu. The areas are the East-West Highway of Makwanpur, Tribhuvan Highway, Dharan-Chatara, Kanti Lokpath, Bhimfedi-Kulekhani-Sisneri, Bhimfedi-Kulekhani-Fakhel roads. According to the District Health Office, the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Makwanpur has reached 524 as of May 1.
