Remdesivir, a drug that is considered to be effective in the treatment of Corona infection, has been reported to be sold at high prices. According to the patient's family, they were required to pay Rs 40,000 for a vial of Remdesivir. The maximum price for a vial of Remdesivir, according to drug importers, is Rs 5,200.
According to Dr. Roshan Pokharel, the Ministry of Health and Population's chief expert, 3,000 vials of Remdesivir have already arrived in Nepal. Bangladesh also exports it to Nepal, but due to the risk, Bangladesh has given India a priority.
Santosh KC, a spokesperson of the Department of Drug Management, expressed his commitment to take action against those involved in the black-marketing of Remdesivir.
