A ten-day prohibitory order to be imposed in Dolpa

2021-05-04

The Dolpa District Administration has decided to impose a prohibitory order for 10 days with effect from midnight on May 4 till May 14 with the increase in the number of Covid-19 infected.

During this time, markets such as Dunai, Tripurakot, and Jufal will be open only from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meanwhile, the educational college, as well as all tuition centers, will be fully closed. Both private and government vehicles will be restricted, except for the transportation of essential items and patients.

In addition, the meeting decided to shut hotels, bars, and saloons, while keeping drug stores open 24 hours a day. At the local level, a similar meeting agreed that the municipality would have a 20-bed isolation building and a 10-bed isolation building. With the risk of increasing Covid-19 infections, prohibitory orders have been imposed in over 40 districts across the country as of May 3.
