A prohibitory order is imposed from midnight on May 4 in two municipalities (Gorkha and Palungtar) and one rural municipality ( Arughat) in Gorkha that are the main entry points to Gorkha.
The district-level Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) issued the order in these municipalities till May 14 after the increase in the number of corona infections. During the period, private and public transport will not operate, only emergency service vehicles and shops will be open.
The District Security Committee had issued a prohibitory order in Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 and 8 of Gorkha, on May 1 after 62 people from the same village became infected.
