Three arrested for charging high bus fare to passengers

Police have arrested three people for cheating passengers by taking more fare. The Metropolitan Traffic Police has arrested three people on Friday for swindling more fare while conducting a spot check.
Chief of the Division, SSP Janak Bhattarai, said that the counter staff from Gaushala and Koteshwor were taken into custody after the ban was imposed in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to him, Krishna Devkota, 43, of Dhanusha Mithila, Khadga Bahadur Bhandari, 42, of Gourdaha, Jhapa and Ram Surel, 34, of Bhaktapur have been arrested from Gaushala.

According to the police, they have arrested the employees of Indreni Highs' counter and the bus number (3-01-006kh 1431) for taking Rs 3,000 to Rs 4500 each from Kathmandu to East Jhapa Morang. The arrested have been sent to Britta Gaushala and two others to Koteshwor Police Division for necessary action.
