Police arrested 35-year-old Ramesh Bani and 26-year-old Jeevan Bania, both of Simalchaur in Mangala Rural Municipality -2, on the charge of vandalizing a Bolero jeep (plate number Ga 1 Jha 416) in Simalchaur on May 15 while it was returning from Babiyachaur. Mangala Municipality was using the vehicle as an ambulance to transport people infected with the coronavirus.
According to police, the accused vandalized the vehicle and assaulted the driver, Ramu Giri, and the Mangala village health coordinator, Lekhnath Roka. The injured were treated at Beni Hospital.
