Aslam Hussain, a 21-year-old shopkeeper of Ramnagar Bhutaha in Harinagar Rural Municipality-1 has accused the police of assaulting him on May 16. According to the victim, the police held him at his own shop at 10 am and beat him for operating the shop during the 16th day of the prohibitory order issued by the district administration to reduce and prevent the infection risk of COVID-19.
The victim also accused the police of beating his 69-year-old grandfather Karamul Hussain when he interfered with the police. During the beating, Hussein's back and hands were injured.
