Police arrested 31-year-old Bir Bahadur Shahi of Dullu Municipality-12 Lamsu on May 20 on the charge of raping a 25-year-old woman. The accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's side at the District Police Office on May 17 alleging that he raped the victim on March 12.

According to the victim's family, the victim could not lodge a complaint immediately after the incident due to the death threats. The victim was examined at Dailekh District Hospital on May 17.
